What are the fundraising programs here at SCS?
Fundraising initiatives used to advance a school such as ours are the comprehensive capital campaign, annual giving (Annual Fund and fundraising events) and planned giving programs. What is a comprehensive capital campaign? A capital campaign is an organized drive to collect and accumulate substantial funds to finance major needs of an organization such as a building or a major repair project. It can also be used to grow funds in an endowment. Some capital campaigns are designated only for endowment. Our current campaign, “Go the Distance” is for both. In a comprehensive capital campaign, all fundraising efforts work together toward an overall total campaign goal. This requires careful coordination so that the capital campaign is the first and foremost fundraising priority of the organization.
