ghgghg Sep 30th, 2006 Belgian chocolate is chocolate from Belgium. Why does it matter where it’s from? Because Belgians take chocolate more seriously than most. If not the only, they are one of few countries that legally do not allow substitution of of vegetable fat for cocoa butter when formulating the chocolate. Belgians also tend to use less sugar, giving a more pure chocolate taste. Milk chocolate refers to chocolate with a lower cocoa content. Cheap milk chocolate has at least 10-12% cocoa, with the better varieties having more like 30%. At 43% or higher it begins to be classified as dark chocolate. Like • Report No comments.
