What Are The Four Great Adventures Of Odysseus?
The first adventure starts when Odysseus and his crew encounter the Lotus-Eaters who eat special kinds of narcotic fruit. When Odysseus’s crew took a bite of some, they became addicted to the plant and did not want to leave but forcefully, Odysseus drags them back to the ship and they set sail again. They stumble upon their second adventure when they visit a second island in search of food. With Odysseus curious mind, they decided to search in the cave and get trapped when the Cyclops, Polyphemus, comes home. After creating the perfect plan, they decide to get the Cyclops drunk and vulnerable so they can poke out his only eye with a sharp stake. They eventually escape through the only exit by tying themselves to the underbelly of the Cyclops’s sheep to sneak right past the Cyclops. Another interesting tale of Odysseus was when he received a precious gift from Aeolus (the keeper of winds) that was a leather bag that held holds strong storm winds.
