Begin by organizing a small group of people who share your vision for a new school. Find out if your school district has been granted exclusive chartering authority by going to http://www.cde.state.co.us/cdechart/download/DispositionofRes.pdf. If the district has retained exclusive chartering authority, contact them to find out who their charter liaison is. If the district has not retained exclusive chartering authority and you are interested in submitting an application to the Charter School Institute, contact them at randydehoff@csi.state.co.us.
