What are the fines and costs for a Photo Radar violation?
The fine for a Photo Radar violation is $40.00, except that if it is committed in a school or construction zone, where fines are doubled, it is $80.00. If personal service of a Penalty Assessment Notice is required due to lack of response from the registered owner of the vehicle, an additional $60 fee, covering the actual cost of service, is added. Non-payment after a Notice has been personally served will result in referral to a collection agency and will increase the amount owed by an additional 25%. Failure to appear for court is also a separate violation that may result in the issuance of a warrant for your arrest.
