What are the fees to adopt an animal from Heaven and Earth Animal Rescue?
We charge an adoption fee of $95 for sterilized cats and kittens and $150 for sterilized dogs and puppies. This fee helps offset the cost of providing veterinary care to our animals (testing, sterilization, vaccinations, parasite control, heartworm treatments, atypical surgeries, microchipping, etc.). All of our animals are vaccinated and, if they are old enough, spayed or neutered and microchipped before adoption. Our unaltered puppies and kittens are adopted out with the provision that ownership of the puppy or kitten does not transfer from HEART to the adopter until after the kitten or puppy has been sterilized. The adoption fee for puppies too young to be sterilized is $200, which includes a $100 refundable deposit, which is refunded after the owner presents proof from their veterinarian that the puppy has been sterilized, vaccinated for rabies, and microchipped.
