What are the fees of the New York Chapter for its General and Board Members and where it is utilized?
The New York Chapter of ICAI charges annual membership fees to enable it to conduct its various activities. In its First Board Meeting held on 17 May 2008, the Board of the Chapter unanimously decided to charge One Hundred (100) United States Dollars for the fiscal years (April – March) 2008-09 from general members. The Board members of the Chapter are charged fifty (50) dollars more. In the same meeting the board further unanimously decided to extend founder membership to its general members on the payment of an additional fifty (50) dollars. Such additional payment of fifty (50) dollars was optional on the part of any member willing to be associated with New York chapter. However, it was mandatory on every Board Member of the Chapter to become Founder Member. Such scheme came to an end on 31st August 2008.
