What are the fees for athletic participation?
The School District 11 Board of Education has established a $65 participation fee for all athletes at the high school level and a $40 participation fee for athletes at the middle school level. For high school students qualifying for reduced lunch, the fee is $30, and for those qualifying for free lunch, $22. For middle school athletes who participate in the reduced lunch program, $20, and for middle school athletes participating in the free lunch program, $15. All fees will be collected by the business office at each school. Students wishing to try out for or participate in a sport must show a paid receipt and have a current physical on file. No athletic equipment will be issued without a receipt. Physician/parent participation forms for middle and high school athletes may be obtained from the Athletics Department, 2020 Glenn Summer Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80909, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
