Section 1750 of the CIC was amended to make the following changes to the surplus line brokers and special lines’ surplus line broker licensing fees: • the fee for an individual surplus line broker who only transacts on behalf of a surplus line broker business entity was further reduced from $700 to $500; • the fee for an individual surplus line broker who does not solely transact on behalf of a surplus line broker business entity license was increased from $700 to $1,000; and, • the fee for a surplus line broker business entity license was increased from $700 to $1,000.
