LED or Light Emitting Diodes are widely used as indicator lights on various electronic devices. They are present everywhere in our daily utility appliances such as the red light of the digital clock or the green light on the cell phone display. It has a long-lasting life span and is made from non-toxic materials unlike fluorescent lights that have mercury in them(hence no harmful emissions). LED lights operate on extra low voltage, which results in lower costs.
