What are the factors that increase the value of a print?
Let’s assume we are speaking of prints based on the same original. The biggest factors to a print’s value are quantity of reproduction (rareness) and quality of reproduction. If a print comes from a very limited edition, its value rises because once that limited edition is sold, no more will be made. If the print is made from a more exacting process like gicle on canvas, its value can rise substantially because of its closeness to the original. A signed and numbered print is typically worth more than one that is not.
