What are the facility requirements?
For the full Rockin’ Science experience: We ask your organization to provide 5 gallons of water (or water nearby), two 6 or 8 foot tables, and an electrical outlet within 20 feet, preferably a 20 amp circuit. We cannot perform this program on a stage – we need to be on the same floor as the audience. We provide our own sound system. This program requires a lot of equipment, so we need one hour to set up before the scheduled time of the program and 45 minutes to break down after the program. The room where the program is to be held must be free of student activity during set up and break down, especially in a gym or multi-purpose room. For Rockin’ Science Lite: We ask your organization to provide 3 gallons of water (or water nearby), two 6 or 8 foot tables, and an electrical outlet within 20 feet, preferably a 20 amp circuit. We cannot perform this program on a stage – we need to be on the same floor as the audience. We provide our own sound system.
The host church will need to have an area available that holds at least 30 tables seating six to eight people each. Round tables are ideal to promote interaction during discussion times. The facility should also be audio/video capable and have room for three to four tables containing orphan ministry and adoption materials from Hope for Orphans, which attendees may want to purchase. The audio and video equipment are to be supplied by the host church.
