The robot is installed at the work place on a shoe plate that is shipped with the system. Instructions to fix the shoe plate which provides for alignment of the robot are given in the user manual. A well stabilized AC power mains has to be provided to power the robot electrically. Use of a 500VA UPS is recommended. Connecting the robot to a an unstabilized power source voids the warranty on the unit. If pneumatic accessories have been ordered for use with the robot, a filtered pneumatic supply has to be provided and is connected to the base of the unit. A PC with a RS232 serial port and running MS-Windows OS (98, 2000, XP) is required for editing and downloading programs to the robot.
