What are the extra letters and brackets that appear in my post when I use text formatting?
The extra letters are BBCode, or Bulletin Board Code. This simple code lets you format text in your post without having to know HTML. Each piece of BBCode consists of an opening and closing tag. The text you want to format should be placed between the tags. You can use more than one tag on a piece of text. Just make sure you have opening tags and closing tags for each, or your post won’t format correctly. Here are the BBCode tags you can use on the forums. All are available via the text editing bar, so you don’t need to remember them!
