What are the extra depth diabetic shoes?
The extra depth means that they are deeper than your standard shoes. For example, if they tie or even Velcro, they can’t be too tight across the top, so they are actually made deeper than the standard shoe. So your foot actually goes into it deeper. That gives adequate room for a custom diabetic insole or if you use the regular insole it just gives you more room in the shoe. If you take your shoes off and you look at your feet, they might be red where they are squeezed. If you can see a little red mark that could cause a lot of damage to somebody with diabetes.
