What are the expectations of me as a GCY Fellow?
Global Citizen Year expects all Fellows to comply with the Fellows Code of Conduct, which will be shared with Fellows upon acceptance into the program. All Fellows are, first and foremost, expected to demonstrate the qualities of global citizenship by being respectful of the cultures and communities who host them, and by behaving appropriately at all times. Appropriate dress, language, and behavior are mandatory. GCY is an experiential learning program and Fellows are expected to participate fully in all aspects of the program. At times the program may operate under difficult and challenging conditions, and GCY expects Fellows to be cooperative and attentive at all times. The illegal consumption of drugs according to U.S. law is forbidden during the program. The consumption of alcohol is also prohibited during the program. GCY reserves the right to remove any Fellow from the program at any time without any refund if a Fellow uses drugs, consumes alcohol, endangers the lives of themselv
