The exam is given Monday – Saturday. Once an applicant has been approved he/she is sent an examination packet with information on how to set a date for the exam. The passing score is 75. Q: When must I take the licensing exam? A: Effective September 4, 2008, exam candidates must take the exam within 2 years of the date of initial board approval. If the candidate has not taken the exam by the end of the 2-year period, the applicant must reapply according to the requirements of the regulations in effect at that time.
