What Are the EPT and ELM and Do I Need to Take Them?

0

The English Placement Test (EPT) and the Entry Level Math (ELM) test are placement tests designed to assess reading, writing, algebra and geometry skills. All nonexempt undergraduate students prior to placement in appropriate university English and Mathematics coursework must take them. For a listing of the possible exemptions please see the Testing section of Student Services. Depending on what your score on the ELM and /or EPT was, you may have to enroll in required prerequisite(s) prior to completing the MATHCOM requirement and the ENGCOM A requirement. In order to find out if your score places you in one of these categories contact The Undergraduate Advising Center.
