What are the environmental and energy efficiency benefits of a Heat Pump?

0

The CoP (Co-efficient of Performance) of a Heat Pump varies from 3 to 4.2. A well designed system will give you 4+ Kw of Heat for each 1 Kw of power input. There is no gas, oil or LPG input and local carbon emissions are zero. If connected to a ‘Green’ electricity supply the whole system can be run ‘Carbon Free’. Compared with Oil, LPG or Electric heating, a Heat Pump can save up to 75% if running costs against current and future prices. Gas costs are not far behind.
