With regard to GCSE results, it has been established over many years, through the analysis of UK national statistics, that unless students gain at least B grades in their chosen subjects for A Level, they are unlikely to cope with the significant demands of this higher level. This is more so now where four subjects in Year 12, reducing to three in Year 13 is the ‘norm’.
