Students should either have: • O level/IGCSE English Language at grade C or above, • IELTS 6.5 • TOEFL 250 (plus TWE at 4.0) or 90/120 in the Internet Based Test (IBT) • Pass in the Cambridge Certificate in English Proficiency. Is there any English language support for overseas students? During semester one, there is a free, optional legal English course run by the English Language Teaching Unit. These classes cover the legal content of the core subjects taken in semester one. The aim is to develop legal writing skills in terms of being able to produce a discursive and legal problem essay, longer assignments and acquiring effective exam writing technique. The sessions also include legal vocabulary exercises and grammar practice.
