Patent granted is protected only in the country which has granted it. Patent rights are restricted to a territory of a country and do not transcend the boundaries to extend protection in other countries automatically. One has to submit patent applications separately in all the countries of interest. It is only in the case of some regional arrangements, like the system followed by European Patent Office, where, by filing one application one can simultaneously obtain Patents in the member countries of a regional system.
