What are the email icons in the directory?
You may choose to receive emails via the Online Directory. When a website visitor clicks on the email icon in the directory search results screen, he or she will be able to fill out a form and send you an email via the website. For privacy reasons, the State Bar will not display your email address – the email you receive will be transmitted via TexasBar.com and the person emailing you will not see your email address. This service is offered as a member convenience, and is optional. To set your email preference, go to MyBarPage and click on “Update My Profile” under “My Profile.” Then click on “My Directory Options.” On that screen, check the box to indicate that you would like to receive email via the member directory.
