What are the eligibility criteria for workers to be entitled to the Wage Earner Protection Program (WEPP)?
Any worker who is legally entitled to work in Canada and meets all of the following criteria can apply: • his/her employment has ended; • his/her former employer is bankrupt or is subject to a receivership; • he/she is owed eligible wages by the former employer; and • he/she has earned these amounts during the six month period up to the date of the bankruptcy/receivership.
