This initiative encourages Federal agencies to adopt sustainable paper strategies based on the following elements: • Reducing the use of paper; • Purchasing paper with greener characteristics; and • Recycling all used office paper. These elements comprise the “3 prongs” of a strategy to reduce the impacts of paper use across its lifecycle: from manufacturing to use to recycling.
