A. Rust-Converto™ contains ingredients to neutralize ferrous oxide, oxalic acid and tannic acid. These ingredients are mild and will not affect the structural integrity of the steel. A polymer is also blended in the composition of Rust-Converto™ which, upon drying, will result in a long-lasting black primer coating on the steel surfaces. This polymer coating bonds better to paint than ferrous phosphate.
