What are the elements of a mission statement and goals?
A mission statement: • Describes the purpose of the charter school, • Is clear, focused and consistent with high academic standards and student success for all students, • Informs the public about who the charter school intends to reach, and • Informs the public how the charter school seeks to make a difference in public education and the community. Goal statements: • Are clear, measurable and reasonable, and • Foster academic and non-academic high expectations for all students.
