What are the electronic devices used for detecting service fault?
There were a number of electronic devices on the market that were used for detecting a service fault, most notably, a product called, “Cyclops”. However, the advent of high-definition television and high-speed video recording has rendered such devices obsolete. These new technologies include “MacCam” (a video system) and “HawkEye” (a mathematically inferred system). At tournaments where courts are equipped with these technologies, players are allowed to call for a limited number of “instant replays” of “in” or “out” calls they deem questionnable.
