The EM waves are mainly used for wireless communications in EE. Examples include FM radio, cellular network in mobile, TV, satellite communications, wireless remote controls, etc. EM waves is used as a means to transmit information in the form of electrical and magnetic diturbances in the air through distances. Without EM waves in EE applications, signal processing and communications would not be so easy.
