What Are the Effects of Tear Gas?
Although prohibited in times of war under the terms of the 1997 Chemical Weapons Convention (see References), tear gas (CS) is used by many police forces in the United States, as well as in many other countries. It is often used to quell protests against the government, as well as to subdue individuals who are acting aggressively. The effects of tear gas are immediate and devastating.
