What are the effects of moving a piano?
That depends on where you move it. If you only roll it across the room, the effect will probably be negligible unless it ends up near a hot air vent or in a draft. If it’s moved around a large building like a school, its tuning stability will be affected somewhat depending on the frequency of moving. Moving across country, on the other hand, is as traumatic for a piano as it is for you, and the piano will probably take several weeks to settle down before it can be tuned.
