What are the effects of inhaled steroids on my childs growth?
Inhaled steroids have proven themselves to be an effective way of controlling asthma and uncontrolled asthma is known to have an adverse effect on growth. A moderate dose of inhaled steroid is safe and effective with little or no effect on growth, over-treatment must be avoided. Moderate dose of inhaled steroids does not have a significant effect on children’s growth.
