What are the educational requirements for Medical Radiation Technologists in Alberta?
(Note: Licensing bodies compare international education and experience to Canadian standards) In Alberta, two post-secondary institutions offer 21 month diploma programs in medical radiologic technology: the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) in Edmonton and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Calgary. NAIT and SAIT offer a joint co-operative program with participating practicum sites. Additional Occupational Information For more information on occupational duties and wages, visit the Alberta Learning Information Service at www.alis.gov.ab.ca and search for Medical Radiation Technologist under occupational information. Bridging Program The NAIT Medical Radiological Technology Pilot Bridging Program is designed for students who have education and work experience outside of Canada.
