What are the early signs of AIDS/HIV?

0

As far as I have been told, there are no specific signs of AIDS/HIV. For other STDs, common signs usually include sores and bumps around the locations of intercourse. Search for specific STD for more in-depth information. I was once paranoid about getting HIV too! I talked to my doctor, and she told me to get tested. It got back negative. The test is 99% accurate after 6 months of initial exposure, so she suggested me to abstain from sex for 6 months and get tested again. I did (amazingly) and it was negative. Depending on the kind of test you have, the duration may be different, but a year should be enough for most. Other STDs should be tested as well if you are worried, because a lot of them are latent until a random moment. But more importantly, safe sex should be practiced at all times: I learned an important lesson yesterday when I heard about my ‘ex’ just got tested positive of syphilis and I was probably the source. It never hits you until the victim is your loved one.
