What are the ear caps and how are they used by the caller / What can I do to ensure the most comfort fit?
The ear caps are the soft silicon tips that are placed on the tip of the hearing aid before it is inserted into the ear. Four different sizes are included, tiny, small, medium and large, so you can choose the cap that provides you the most comfortable fit. We suggest that you start with the medium sized ear cap. If the fit is too loose, switch to the larger size. If the fit is too tight, use a smaller size. If you have trouble slipping the hearing aid into your ear, you can rub a little bit of mineral oil on the ear cap to facilitate insertion. You may also benefit from pulling back on your ear with one hand while inserting the hearing aid into your ear. Finally, if you are wearing the hearing aid in your right ear, insert the hearing aid with the volume control dial up toward the ceiling. If the hearing aid is to be worn in the left ear, the volume control dial should be downward facing for a more comfortable fit. It does take time to adjust to wearing a hearing aid. We recommend that
