What are the duties of members of New York Inter-Group’s Steering Committee?
Suggested duties and qualifications are described in Inter-Group’s by-laws. In addition to responsibility, as a body, to oversee the functioning of the Inter-Group office, most Steering Committee members have local Area or service committee suggested duties. Steering Committee members attend monthly meetings in the Inter-Group office and report quarterly to the Inter-Group Delegates. Six Area Representatives, one for each New York City Borough and Westchester County, are responsible for hosting bi-monthly Forums in their respective Areas. Area Representatives act as liaison between area groups and Inter-Group’s Steering Committee. See #13 for a description of an Area Forum.
