What are the duties of environmental manager in an industry?
The duties of an environmental manager (EHS) should never fall under the auspices of personnel untrained and inexperienced in safety and environmental management. Having the Human Resources, Training, Craft Manager, Quality assurance leader or others be the EHS manager is ludicrous, but unfortunately companies place profit above the value of a human life. Every time that happens, the company and the employees lose, since that individual always puts safety and health at the bottom of the list of priorities. Keeping the employees safe and alive while protecting the environment, the company, and the client is a full time job,usually for more than one person.
