Typically the duties and responsibilities of a CSM include: • Writing, distributing, and implementing safety policies & procedures. • To ensure and enforce compliance of federal, state, local, and site specific safety and health regulations and procedures. • Posting all mandated documentation & signs as required. • Maintaining the project OSHA 300 log. • Maintaining project files on any other safety mandated items. • Maintaining / updating the project MSDS book per current and new products being used. • Maintaining Personnel Protective Equipment, First Aid Kits, and safety supplies on site in conjunction with the material manager. • Performing project safety audits for all work and support areas. • Preparing for the Project Manager a monthly safety activity and performance report. • Assisting in the development of Job Safety Analyses’ and Daily Safety Plans. • Providing input to management where or when special safety requirements exist. • Attending, scheduling, and conducting periodic
