What are the downsides of the Canadian health care system?

Are there any? Isnt health care socialized? I think its a great idea. The medical field should not be a for-profit organization, and treatment should not be based on affordability. Unfortunately, without profits there is no funding, really, aside from government funding and research grants and donation. Which means medical research will be stunted. Or would it? I imagine most profits go into the pockets of the doctors, not back into research. I guess that is the only downfall though. I guess research itself should be socialized in terms of adequate funding for all legit research, possibly weighed on necessity. I think most things should be socialized or communized anyway. Thats right, I said it. Society and peoples values should not be based on material wealth. Money is power, a lucrative power. Its just as corrupted an authority as any pre-existing attempt at communism.
