What are the Dos and Don s while practicing Yoga?
The most appropriate time for practicing Yoga is in the morning. It is the time when the mind is calm. To practice Yoga you must choose a place which is calm, quiet, ventilated, dust-free, and distraction-free. Before you start Yoga, you must clear your bowels and bladder; clean your nostrils before you start. Like all other workouts you must begin with easy poses; thereafter you can advance to the tough ones. Do not forget to start with warm-ups and end with cool-down or savasana or relaxation posture. If you feel fatigue in between, you must discontinue the exercise. Yoga must energize and not cause weariness and depression. You must take breaks in between if a particular step or exercise proves tiring. There should be a three-and-a-half to four hours gap between a heavy meal and your practice. Use comfortable clothing for practice. Try to concentrate on your breath and body awareness while performing each posture. It is better to avoid over eating and fasting.
