What are the disk space requirements for DV capture?
1 hour of captured DV footage typically takes up about 12GB of disk space on your PC, so make sure you have enough free space available. If your PC is running on Windows 98SE/ME, the maximum file size allowed per captured segment is 4GB. muvee autoProducer works around this limitation by monitoring the size of the captured video file. Once the 4GB limit is reached, it automatically creates a new file and continues the capturing process. The files will be given sequential names, such as Filename_001, Filename_002 etc. If your PC is running on Windows 2000/XP, there is no restriction on the maximum file size per captured video segment. muvee autoProducer captures video in DV Type 1 format, so as not to limit the file size of the captured footage (DV Type 2 has a 4GB file size limit on captured footage).
