What are the disadvantages of learning HTML code when creating a website?
As with many things, there is a big difference between learning how and learning why. Early schooling teaches you how, like how to add 1 plus 1. Later learning teaches you why, like why addition works the way it does. In a fast moving field, like computer science, knowing why is far more important than knowing how. This is especially when much of the how, like the languages that are being used, are ancient and the why is getting lost. HTML is Hypertext Markup Language. It is a language for decorating basic text documents so that they can be related together. It most certainly is not a language for creating pages full of rich visual content. Worse than not being appropriate for the task being asked of it, as soon as you stray away from the basics you find that different HTML engines chew through the same code differently.
