What are the disadvantages of buying a Bang & Olufsen CRT Television?
CRT Televisions have the disadvantage of being bulky due to the nature of their engineering, and because of this are limited in screen size. In the case of Bang & Olufsen, a 32″ screen size was the largest the company made. The whole shape of a tube is basically a pyramid on its side, so the bigger the screen the ‘taller’ the pyramid needs to be, which means deeper. The CRT also uses a little more energy compared to say an LCD set.
