What are the disadvantages of adopting the hard disk as the recording medium?
The recording medium of the camcorder is not removable, meaning that if you run out of hard disk space on the camcorder, you can only free up space for new recordings by deleting previously recorded movies or still images. Consequently, if you run out of the disk space where your computer is not available or at hand you will have to make a decision between instantly freeing space by deleting and losing some of your recordings or not freeing space (so you will not be able to record further), until after you have got the possibility to transfer the previous recordings from the camcorder to your computer, in order not to lose these recordings.
