What are the disadvantage of Computer-based information system?
In a sense, we get all of our electronic information from once source. Our government can control what information we have access to, so we potentially have less freedom of ideas this way. If you’re talking about security of private information, then online payment systems and private emails are in danger of viruses and hackers, so information security is a problem. If there’s a power cut then nothing works. Power cuts are frequent where I am in Buenos Aires, so that means nobody can use the bank or access information they need for several hours, occasionally for a whole day. We once had a 3 day power cut.
