What are the disadvantage and advantage of wearing school uniform?
Advantage: it levels the playing field…everyone has what everyone else has. No one is being beaten up in order to steal their new Nikes. Also, there are a lot less dress code violations. And students could use their grades as their distinctiveness, instead of their attire. Disadvantage: It stifles students’ creativity. Students will rebel in one way or another. Some will refuse to wear the uniform or make unacceptable additions or deletions to the uniform, and will be in trouble routinely. Others will find other, sometimes more dangerous ways to express themselves when they lose this outlet for their creativity.
