Digital certificates used by VME Mail 2004 must conform to X.509 standard. To send PKI based encrypted message, the sender must have personal digital certificate installed on local system and must have access to recipient’s public certificate stored in GAL or LDAP server. After first a certificate is used, it is kept in a local Database (DB) for offline use.
