What are the different ways that I can overcome resistance to change?
In his book with Steven Stanton, The Reengineering Revolution (1995), Michael Hammer has summarized several strategies to overcome resistance to change: 1) Incentives–positive and negative; 2) Information–dispel uncertainty and fear; 3) Intervention–one-on-one connections; 4) Indoctrination–make change seem inevitable; and 5) Involvement–make people feel part of the effort.
