What are the different types of wireless fences?
Here are some samples of how these devices work: • Underground Wire – These systems work by burying a wire under the ground to create the boundaries of your fenced area. The dog wears a receiver on the collar. • Outdoor Wireless – These systems use radio signals to contain the dog in the yard. You place a transmitter in the house or garage and it emits a signal covering a specified range. When the dog reaches the edge of the range, there is a warning signal, and beyond that, a static shock. • Indoor Wireless – These are smaller versions of the wireless system that enable you to place a small transmitter near an area where the dog is not permitted to got, such as a door, and then set the signal to activate within 2 to 10 feet.
