What are the different types of traditional houses in India?
Across India you will find different types of traditional houses. This varies usually withing states too. However, there is every likelihood that the principles of Vaastu Shastra are found in all of the designs. You have bamboo houses in North-East while you can find rock-tiled houses in parts of Chattisgarh, Orissa & Madhya Pradesh. Traditional houses in coastal Andhra Pradesh have courtyards usually with coconut trees & swanky teak pillars to hold the tiled roof. There are many indeed. I have not even dealt with the tip of the iceberg!!!
